At 3am two days ago, when I heard something terrible had happened to a good friend, I couldn't stop but keep thinking "What can I possibly do for her?"
Then I decided to take this picture, although it was quite late at night
I was glad she loved it.
And I was even happier when I knew that fate had smiled back at her.

It took me several minutes to come up with this idea.
I kept a dozen matches standing on the floor using blu-tack. Luckily one of my friend was still awake, and he helped to hold a small LED torch above the matches shining downwards. This was to make focusing in the dark easier and to add some light to the scene as well.

As some (including myself) say, the best ideas often strike us late at night, as our sleep-deprivation is starting to get the best of us, tearing down the limits we (sub)consciously set on ourselves. Nevertheless, you have indeed conjured up a clever concept and implemented it in an excellent manner. I also commend the symbolic interpretation possibilities provided by the scene, it does make me think (again and again).
